BIO

Vladyslav Tlushch is a Ukrainian baritone and a current ensemble member of the Luzerner Theater in Switzerland.

He began his musical journey in historical city Lviv, Ukraine in the National Music Academy (2012–2018), studying under the mentorship of Professor Orest Sydir. While still a student, he made his opera debut as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro at the Lviv National Opera House.
The following year, he joined the Lviv Organ Hall as a soloist, performing a repertoire focused on early music and art songs.

In 2018, he joined the young artist program at Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa in Warsaw. He continued to hone his craft as a member of the International Opera Studio at the Zürich Opera House during the 2019–2021  seasons.

Since 2021, he has been performing regularly at Luzerner Theater ensemble, where he has brought to life a wide range of characters including Conte Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Tarquinius (The Rape of Lucretia), Peter (Hänsel und Gretel), Marcello (La Bohème), Dr.Falke (Der Fledermaus) and Sam(Trouble in Tahiti).

Vlad has also gained international attention through several major competitions: he was a finalist at Operalia in Mumbai (2024) and at the Queen Sonja Singing Competition in Oslo (2023). He also received the 3rd Prize at the International Virgilijus Noreika Competition in Vilnius (2023) and earned the Special Song Prize at the 2019 Klaudia Taev Competition in Pärnu (2019).

 

He continues to grow as an artist by learning from some of the world’s leading singers and teachers, including Brigitte Fassbaender, Thomas Hampson, Ann Murray, Olga Pasichnyk, Anna Bonitatibus, Adrian Kelly and Eytan Pessen.
